Uyir Foundation was founded as a Trust in 2015 by Mr. C. C. Selin Reubalin in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. Our founder deeply believes that we as individuals have to take up the responsibility to bring about a change in the community and help those in need and distress.
Uyir means 'Life' in Tamil language. It is not the years in your life that count but the life in your years. You can add meaning to a person's life and bring about a positive impact in the society by extending your helping hand along with us.
Uyir Foundation dedicates its time, resources and skills to the needy children, youth, women, specially abled and also in conserving the environment by uncovering their path to a better life. Time and love, is all a person needs when their life is in distress. It sends them the message that they are valued. Likewise, Uyir Foundation requests you to gift your precious time and love, to make a life worth living.

Our Mission
- We work towards the transformation of the Society, by focusing on orphans, half orphans and specially-abled by providing education support and special care to live a dignified, healthy and a secured life.
- Setting up Community Development Centres in villages to educate and develop skills and values of children, youth and women.
- To empower women and youth by assisting them in small scale income generating projects and referring job opportunities.
- To promote eye and blood donation, by conducting regular awareness and donation camps in the society.
- To inculcate a pro-environment attitude in the society, by creating awareness on solar power usage, tree plantation and other environmental friendly activities.

Mr. C.C.Selin Reubalin Chairman
Mr. C.C. Selin Reubalin holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from Annamalai university (India.) He has been in top key positions in an apparel manufacturing organisation in India for over 2 decades. He is passionate about transforming the lives of the people and dedicates his time, skills and resources to help people in grass-root level of the society.
Mr. P. Chandramohan Secretary
Mr. Chandramohan has over 16 to 20 years of experience in the Information Technology services industry. He began his career by consulting for various corporate clients such as Smith´s Food & Drugs, American Stores, Farmers Insurance Group and Ernst and Young. He holds a Bachelor´s degree in Chemical Engineering from Annamalai University and Master´s degree in Chemical Engineering from Anna University.
Mr. Sajan Sha Treasurer
Mr. Sajan Shah, has over 10 years of experience in business and holds a BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Crescent Engineering College.
Mrs. Susan Monica
Mrs. Susan Usha Monica has 14 years of experience in the field of Human Resources. She is an energetic and a resourceful person with diverse skills holding an MBA degree in Human Resource Management and also a diploma in Hotel Management.
DR. R. BELINDA
Dr.R.Belinda, a gold medallist in her post-graduation in M.A.Social Work (from Sacred Heart College Tirupattur), has completed her M.Phil(Loyola college) and Ph.D degree (Loyola College). She carries along with her one year of experience in the field as an Executive HR and 16 years of teaching experience. She started her teaching career in Madras School of Social Work and has been serving Madras Christian College for the past 15 years and is currently the Head of the Department of Social Work (SFS), offering specialisation in Human Resource Management and also serves as the Placement Officer of the college.She has published more than 25 research papers in ISBN& ISSN(including a Spanish Journal) publications and presented more than 15 research papers in various National and International Conferences. She attended the Second Joint World Conference at Stockholm, Sweden in July 2012 and presented a research paper and also chaired a session. She has received grants from National and International Bodies for conducting research and has completed eleven funded projects(including a UGC Minor Research Project) and has one on-going project on Peace Education. She has also served as resource persons in International and National Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. She has edited five books (including two with ISBN and one with ISSN). She was awarded ‘Young Social Work Achiever Award in the area of Social Work Education’ by Department of Social Work, Mar Gregorios College, Chennai in March 2014. She is a University of Madras approved M.Phil and Ph.D Supervisor. She has attended an Inter Institutional Faculty Exchange Program orgnaised by the AIACHE sponsored by UBCHEA and taught at the Sophia College, Ajmer in Decemeber 2014. She is also an External member of the Internal Sexual Harassment Committee at Lenoxx India Pvt. Ltd. She serves as a Guest Faculty at the International MBA program of Stella Maris – Liverpool Hope University, Liverpool, UK. Her areas of interest include Women Empowerment, Migrants & Unorganised Labour, Human Rights, Human Resource Management, Labour Laws, Organisational Behaviour and Research Methodology.

Mr. Baktha Reddy
A Dermatologist by Profession and qualified at Medical Education Technology at University of Dundee, UK, started his work in the field of leprosy where many hesitate to work.He has worked in International and National NGOs like World Health Organisation (WHO) and International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Program(ILEP)
Dr. N. B. Baktha Reddy has adopted 20 villages where women and child development programmes are conducted. He has also started a alcohol de-addiction centre. He has donated two acres of land to a Christian organisation in Uthiramerur to help the poor and needy.
From 1963 he is instrumental in training different cadres of staff and students like community workers, undergraduates and postgraduates in different countries as Director of training at ALERT, Ethiopia and At SLRTC ,Karigiri.
Through his journey he has discovered his passion to serve the needy and continues to provide his full support to like minded people who has the passion to serve.
Mr. Krishnamurthy M
Krishnamurthy is an engineer by profession and has been instrumental in transforming businesses towards World Class. This endeavor has helped organizations attract and retain business which in turn helped people having safe and stress free work place.
He was founder trustee of a Charitable organization named Disha in association with the company he was working. During this tenure, Disha was working towards betterment of society through support to needy people, students and other social organizations.
